We must take advantage of the Indespensable role of Agriculture to grow our IGR – Dr. Olaleye
The Rector, Dr Nurudeen Oluremi Olaleye charged staff members in the School of Agriculture to take advantage of the indispensable role of agriculture to humanity and its increasing growth in economic development to boost the Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) of the Polytechnic.
Dr Olaleye stated this at the Council Chambers, Ikorodu on Monday, 15th February, 2021 when he was presented a roll up banner with a congratulatory message by staff members in the School of Agricultural Science, on his 50th Birthday Anniversary.
The Dean, School of Agriculture, Dr. Adebayo Rafiu Asafa, informed the gathering that it was important that the entire School of Agriculture celebrate the icon on his golden jubilee and also inspire him for the good works he has commenced since his assumption to the office as the Rector of the Polytechnic.
Dr. Nurudeen Olaleye while expressing his profound gratitude to the entire staff of the School of Agriculture for the honour bestowed on him, mentioned that his love and passion for agriculture started from his secondary school days.
However, he charged members of the School to brainstorm and present profitable agribusiness ideas that will further boost the Polytechnic IGR, while assuring them that the Management is willing to take up any viable business plan.
